Sorry if this is a duplicate topic but I didn't see it addressed anywher here.
Largely in response to the recent article in the Wall Street Journal "Deadly pocketknives become a $1 billion business" a new organization has been proposed to help protect the rights of knife owners and collectors. We have seen many times through groups such as the NRA, AARP, or AMA (American Motorcycle Association) that organized support for a cause can have tremendous clout with congress and your voice can be heard in Washington if enough people join together for a common cause.
Organizational details still need to be worked out but I think this is a good move in the right direction to make sure knife owners have a voice before we get blindsided by some stupid knife legislation born from knee-jerk reactions to uninformed sensationalistic journalists.
Check out the proposed United States Knife & Tool Association (USKTA) at this web site

They have my support. I urge other knifemakers, knife owners and collectors to take a look and consider the USKTA.
