SRJ in the Ghan
Well, not Steve himself I just received this from Mr. J - a modified Backpacker with tapered tang and contoured burlap micarta scales. The blade steel is Ferrium M60S from Questek. A really nice surprise is that Julie Warenski engraved my initials on one of the pins. I will drag this piece around Afghanistan with me.

Be sure to give it plenty of water, that burlap Micarta needs a drink now and then. Nice shot! Thanks, Bob. Test that Ferrium out.
He don't really mean "drag." That thing is so light, it'll probably float out ahead of him a little ways! __________________ http://www.srjknives.com NRA Endowment Member Knifemakers' Guild Member since 1971 "May you live all the days of your life." - Jonathan Swift Last edited by Steve; 03-17-2006 at 10:24 AM. |
