First Hollow Grind

This dagger is my first attempt at hollow grinding. Didn't work out too bad... I used the 10 inch wheel which came with my new grinder (it's a beaut!). The blade is forged from W1. It even has a faint hamon along the edge which you can't see in the photo . The grip is purple heart with steel ferrule and pommel. The stone is soapstone. The scroll on the guard was the biggest challenge. The blade measures 7 3/4 by 1 1/8 and is 3/16 thick at the center ridge. The grip is 4 3/8 by 7/8.
Thanks for looking.
Chris

Thank you for your comments, guys. Now all I have to do is make more... I've been so busy at work lately I haven't had much time to spend in my shop. Really bugs me. I so wish I could retire already! Rob, I love the picture of your assistant!
Cheers,
Chris
