Hawaii Knife Show?

Who's interested in attending a knife show in Hawaii? Dan Delavan of PLaza Cutlery is running a show scheduled for March 12, from 10 am to 4 p.m. in Honolulu at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Get ahold of Dan on this link, http://plazacutlery.com/Hawaiian%20Knife%20Show.htm then scroll down 1 1/2 pages and look for "Hawaiian Show" on the left-hand edge of the page. He has great rates with the hotel and airline tickets right now are the most reasonable I've seen, after watching them for quite a while. A great list of makers are already signed up!

The knives that I bring will have a special logo showing my TM nested beneath the Islands. Not sure whether I'll put the year, "2011," under my mark or not......?

This is our chance! Of course it's one week after the ECCKS, which had to be moved and re-scheduled because of the NY hassles, but we'll be at both of them with some Fighters, Wilderness', NY Specials, hunters. Hope to sell some knives! Hope you can make it!

That's a great resort.
I wonder if many collectors from the main land will attend.

It will be great. Nice and short, but enough time to see al of the knives and visit and with some kind of get-together after, I think. Plus just outside any door in the hotel is HAWAII!!

Hi Steve,

I'd be tickled to see some of those in person, but I hope you sell out early.

Take care, Craig

I'll be doing a drawing and perhaps I may not even sell them all, you just never know. It will be a while after the show opens, so, hopefully, anyone who wants to see the knives can do so, IF, by chance they all get sold.

It looks like you have been busy.

Fine line up of knives for this show.

Hope we get to see them before they're gone.

Charles

It's been and still is, torture, Charles! Two shows this close together........I don't think I'll ever do it again, unless they are both in Hawaii, maybe! We'll be happy to see you there.

Sorry for the wording of my last post Steve.

I should have said, I hope we get to see photos of the knives before they leave for Hawaii.

It would be nice to see them in person but I will not be able to make the trip.

Charles

Sorry, Charles. I thought you were going to be there! The show was great, short and sweet and the weather, surprise!, was perfect, despite the tsunami, which wasn't even detectable on the beach from our hotel window on the 4th floor. What a terrible toll it took in Japan, though! Many prayers sent their way. There was a great and enthusiastic crowd at the show, much larger than I anticipated, and there is even talk of doing another show in a couple of years. We'll keep you updated, as we get more information. It was great to see makers collectors and purveyors there and my "Hawaii - 2011" logo seemed to go over quite well. I even got to visit Tom Mayo, Ken Onion and Stan Fujisaka's shops. It was great! Everyone treated us so kindly wherever we went. The flight is long, but the beauty and hospitality surely made up for it!
