Modern Lloyd Hale Knives ???

I have seen a number of pre-1980 Lloyd Hale knives for sale.

From the recent article in Knives Illustrated, it looks like he only makes knives now for a single collector.

Does anyone have any information on the availability of any Lloyd Hale knives for sale that are recent creations ? If they were available to the average collector to buy, what would they be worth ?

Bulib,

For at least the last 5 years (probably longer) Lloyd has in fact been working for one person.

Lloyd made some exceptional art knives in the 70's and 80's. Then he ran into a few problems, but he got back on track.

You can find some of his work out there still. Lloyd has a very unique style and his work is usually easy to spot.

I really like a lot of lloyd's earlier work, but I have to say that I sure didn't care for the knives I saw in KI. Obviously they are made to suit the taste of the person that he makes them for. About the only one that I found attractive was the Khukri. Maybe if I liked high art knives more these knives would have appealed to me more.
