Tutorial : Thread Photo Posting and KNet Photo Album Creation
How to use the photo album feature:
Image #1) Introduction... By now, you've noticed that the homepage of KNet has a photo gallery featured at the top. This is where rotating images of member knives, knife makers, shop tours, and more, are being refreshed through your visit. If you have 30 days of registered forum use and 10 total posts on our forums, you are also enabled as a basic KNet Member to create your own free KnifeNetwork photo albums for image uploading, and where you can use those images for further post enhancement. Or where you can post them to other sites and forums by using BB and URL code, created by the scripts. (more on advanced image promotion in other upcoming tutorials) The basic value of creating personal albums on KNet is to easily display your photos to our worldwide community of knife enthusiasts and collector users. Image #2) Getting Started... Click "User CP" at the top of the main forum navigation bar. Image #3) Click "Pictures & Albums" from left-hand navigation Image #4) Notice that we have 1 album already created in this example with 14 images already added (called "My Favorite Knives"). If you were to click that album, it would look something like the following. Image #5) Clicking on any thumbnail from within the album would result in a detailed photo page similar to the next image. Image #6) This page contains the buttons to edit/delete or comment on the full size image of each photo in each album. For this example, let's go back to the album and add a new image. Look for the "Upload Images" link on (Image #5), click it... Image #7) Once you click the "Upload Images" link, you'll see a page that is similar to the image in #7. Image #8) Browse to find an image on your local PC, then upload it. Image #9) It will display a screen similar to #9 when the image has been uploaded (thumbnails are created on the fly). Fill in the appropriate image details and save. Image #10) Go back to the main gallery and you'll see the new image on display. This image is now complete and is displaying on the albums, and on the homepage rotation. Image #11) Creating a new album. Go to main album list by clicking on the "Pictures & Albums". Click "Add Album"... Image #12) Give it a title and description. Image #13) Once the new album is created, you'll be taken back to a page similar to #13. Click "Upload Images". Go through the same process as above, uploading a new image for your freshly created album. Image #14) Almost done Image #15) Nice Job!!!! __________________ Alex Whetsell [======]~~~~~~~> Atlantavirtual.com Atlanta NOC |
