Mark -- that would be fitting Sorry I won't be able to conribute to the thread -- on the 4th I expect to be busy 1) getting the Color Guard Ready for a ceremony in Memorial Park, 2) selling off the last raffle tickets to support our VFW Post, and 3) burning some burgers like every other red-blooded American on the 4th of July. Oh yeh, and listening to J S Souza under the stars just before the fireworks

I was about to make a mean comment about the British showing up for the Revolutionary War dressed like targets, but I've changed my mind.

What I'd really like to say, in all seriousness, is thanks to all the people of Britain for supporting the United States when it seems that nobody else would. It's nice to know that not everyone out there hates America, and that we still have friends out there. Thanks for not being afraid to run to the sounds of the guns when everyone else is running the other way.

If I ever had to move to another country, I'd choose Great Britain in a heartbeat.

Thanks, mates.

...and what Jamie said -- thank you, and all your stand-up countrymen.

All is forgiven, as long as you don't want interest on the back-taxes

I think rather than tea, we need to dump some politicians, insurance execs, and practicing litigation, criminal, and politically aspiring attorneys into the drink. Whaddaya think?

Happy Birthday to all my American friends!

You can keep the taxes, please spend them all on fireworks, food and beer

Roger

Add the CEOs who've been indicted in the last 25 years, all the BoD memebrs who looked the other way when they knew the 'books were cooked,' all the politicos who made money from insider trading and buying on margin (SEC does not like that but the pols' buddies look the other way), the pols' buddies who looked the other way, every corporate 'higher-up' who stole from pension funds and ALL of the narrow-minded bureaucrats (aka Regulatory Agencies) and you got a deal.

I personally like lawyers, we'd be a lot farther up the creek with out them. (do I feel a new thread coming on?)

Trish

Q/ Why don't sharks eat lawyers?
A/ Professional courtesy.

We don't need no stinking fireworks tonight! There are already too many fires here.

Stomp that one and another one pops up!

Hope everyone had a great Fourth!!!

That you mourned the passing of all those great fireworks...Cherry Bombs, Silver Salutes, M-80's, etc...

And that most important, you remembered to give thanks that you live in the greatest country on the planet. I make no apologies to any other nation. Ours' is the BEST and I thank God every day that I was born here!!!! Steve
