T-Shirt Advertising for a Knifemaker

The rest of the consumer world trades 'schwag' for attention, and lots of times it's a T-shirt that is given. Now not every t-shirt handed out is actually worth wearing but the ones that are include Mace Vitale's Laural Rock Forge shirt. While we were talking knives in Atlanta during the BLADE show, Mace handed me a black t-shirt saying, "Here - hope you get a chance to wear this."

It's a nice quality tee with dramatic red graphics. On the front, only MACE........and it gets attention. Several people commented about it while I was wearing the shirt recently. You can see the back in the picture below. The knife is the best part but all the details are there.

So here I am in Lake Louise, Alberta just last week and happened to be wearing Mace's shirt. Later that day a woman asked me to stand still so she could copy Mace's contact info off the back. Two French folks got into an argument when the man insisted he knew who Mace was and the woman disagreed, telling him he was thinking of the wrong 'Mace' and so on. The shirt's kind of like a little lightning rod of sorts.

Exclamation mace

who are the french people? Who are the french people??????
OH !!mace: the question is, WHY are there french people
on a serious note Mace is a great guy and his knifes work like the dickens. also his fit and finish is getting top notch. i have two users of his (a small neck knife ,i use every day and a combat/camper that gets abused each summer ) my next piece of his will be a bit showier and put away as an investment before he gets noticed and i can afford him no more...

I can attest to the T-Shirt thing. Just before the Vegas show last year I had a co worker who owns an embroidery maching do me up 10 T-shirts with my name and website on it. I had many comments and everytime I wear one around here people ask questions. I feel Ive done 3-5 knives that have been a direct result of those shirts.

Nice shirt btw, Mace !

Thanks for sharing Buddy.

Heres a looksie at the shirt I did for myself and how simple it is. Only cost around $8 bucks for the shirt and the embroidery.

I had some hats done up with my company name on the front and the website on the back. Give them out with my bigger knife orders. Been getting some good feed back with them.
