I've got a good one. I had heard that you could microscopically sharpen knives with a buffing wheel. So I thought I'd give it a go and put it on the wheel with the edge starring straight up. As soon as contact was made, time stopped and I understood perfectly what was going to happen to me. Its amazing how fast the edge went from up to down. Good thing for the bone or it would have taken all of my finger off!

Hate to say that I have made more goofs than I have made knives.
I was assembling and employing the hidden tang handles on 2 knives one after another. One of the knives had the tang threaded at #8-32, the other was threaded at #10-24. After finishing the first knife I started to epoxy the second, it was then I asked myself why aren?t my spacers the same color? That was the day my 5-minute epoxy decided to set in about 2 ? minutes. |
