Ain't that Peculiar
Its been several years since I have tried a knife using an assbackwards piece of sambar stag for the handle. This one has a 5 1/4" 1084 blade. This is the first blade that I've hand forged since April. It made me feel good to find out I could still do the forging. Wrought iron fittings and a two ply cowhide sheath. 10" overall. If you would like to see some of the photo's from when I was putting this one together please let me know.

I started taking pictures after I had the stag handled drilled. Its mostly shots of the fittings changing shape. Most the work on the fittings was done with my belt grinder. A couple band saw cuts. An abrasive wheel on a drill press comes in handy for making the grooves.
