five hole pivot screws...

Can anyone tell me where I can find the five hole pivot screws
that I've seen on some custom folders? I've only been able to find
the two hole security screws. I've searched and searched the web
and have'nt been able to find them. Are they custom made by the knife maker whose folders I see them on?
If so, I gather they are also fabricating the tool to tighten them
as well. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!!

I can't help you with the pivots, but maybe you can help me. I've been looking for the two hole pivots, could you tell me where you found them. I was told they were custom jobs.

Jeremy

The 5 hole pivots and probably even the two hole pivots you have seen on custom folders are made by the knife makers. No one I know of is offering them for sale. Maybe if enough people asked Darrel Ralph he would add such an item to his product line.

The two hole things you have seen are shoulder bolt/stripper screws I think. They would work if you can get them in the right size and length......

Thanks for all the input guys...I guess it's pretty much just up
to your own creativity and your fabrication skills. Which is knida
how I like it anyway.
Jeremy, The two hole screws that I've found were security
screws. They're called,"Snake Eyes" screws. I've found them at
a couple of web sites, the one I remember is:
www.securityscrews.com

I'm not sure what sizes they have them in though.

if I were to venture a guess on the five hole screws.
I may take a ss hex head bolt. Drill the appropriately located
holes in the top. turn the flats round and dome the top, then
add what ever final touches strike me. then just fabricate a
tool to tighten them, using something large enough to securely hold some rod stock in the same pattern.
I was just wondering if there was a place to buy them
pre-made...but then again I'm a tinkerer, and I guess that would take all the fun out of it!

Thanks again guys for the replies!!
I hope that web site helps Jeremy...
