HY VFD inverter
what do you think about this inverter?
http://cgi.ebay.com/VARIABLE-FREQUEN...item35a6cd093d It seems quite cheap. would it be ok for a KMG belt grinder clone? |

Looks like it should work if you have 220v available and if you can figure out how to wire it up. And maybe you have to tune it to your motor, not sure about that. I'm no expert on inverters but I can read and it looks like it should do the job but I've heard that VFD systems can be challenging to set up.
I do know something about ISO9001 though and it isn't a guarantee that this is a high quality product. That's a common misunderstanding even at the factories themselves. All it really means is that the factory has a documented and repeatable method of doing whatever it is the factory does. It doesn't matter is you do it wrong or inefficiently as long as you do it consistently. Of course, in the real world, doing it consistently and not going out of business is at least some indication that it is being done correctly .... |

I purchase two of these last year. One works without any issues the other blew up after 5 min of use. Good luck getting warranty! They only reply to sales request and ignore all warranty requests.
Hope this helps... I know this is an old post, but the info might help others. Dennis |
