Looking for some CPM154 or Crucible 154CM
Hi guys,
Trying to restock my shop, let supplies go down to far so I have to do a major restock. Belts, sand paper, die makers stones and steel are the big ticket items. Went looking for some steel and I get a shock that back in May Crucible went Chapter 11 and CPM154 is basically sold out until this is all resolved. Well I need some CPM154 1/8" x 2" x 11" for a couple push daggers. I can only find 1/8" 154CM in in a couple places. For what I would pay at one place I could get a full yard from Crucible. I don't have a problem with a company making a profit but since Crucible is down the street from me it would be a bit pointless but at the same time I don't make so many push daggers that I would need a full yard. Most of my blades are also made from 1.5" steel so it would be a bit of a waste. If some one has a piece of CPM154 or 154CM (as long as it's Crucible) they won't mind parting with let me know. If you want to work out a trade all the better. Jim __________________ I cook with a flair for the dramatic, and depraved indifference to calories |

Check out Niagara Specialty Metals. They have been the roller co that took it down to finish dimensions. Last I heard they had hired some of the Crucible people to get them off them ground in direct sales.

That's cool but unfortunately they have a $100 min and a 36" bar from Crucible is about $50.
