My first and only Model 1 just arrived yesterday. I knew I had to have this one when I saw it. The reddish stag is one of my favorites.

Great lookng colour on that stag, Steve!

Now that you've got your first #1, you're going to want more.

Actually, you would do nicely with just that one!

Cheers!

Moosehead

Hi all!

The tease is over...

Here's my second #1, with a seven inch blade, which I recently obtained from a fellow who hand picked the stag at a knife show back in 1990. He ordered the knife through Gary Randall, and this was the result when he received it in 1992. It has a nickle silver hilt and butt cap, and is perfectly balanced.

Here's a couple of shots of the one with Ironwood alongside.

Closeups of the stag handle to follow below.

Enjoy

Cheers!

Moose,
....The stag is beautiful but the ironwood with fingergrips is also outstanding. Any chance next time you are shooting PICs you could do a closeup of the ironwood?

Very nice comparison!
The new blade looks to have sharper, cleaner lines. The older blade looks smoother, an almost molded or melted look, as in more refined.
This is IMHO of course. Anyway, two beautiful knives.

Great thread! It just keeps getting longer and better - a terrific resource too. Moose, that is the finest stag I think I have ever seen!
