Giraffe Bone

I just got ahold of some more Giraffe bones and thought that I would offer them to the CKD members before I posted them anywhere else. I get inquires about them all of the time as I had some in the past and haven't been able to get any more for less than $250 each so I haven't bothered with them. These will be $175 each shipping included. If anyone wants one let me know and we will work out the details. If not I'll offer them to some of the people who have inquired about them by email.

About how many sets of scales can you get from one bone?? And can you do anything with the "joint" part?

I can usually get 2 sets of scales for every 4 to 5 inches of bone depending on the knife that they are going on. I haven't used any of the joint areas but it is very solid and could be cut for spacers or inlays. I have used it both stabalized and just as it is and can't really tell that much difference. I just finished a knife with some that was not stabalized and have let it sit for more than a week now and nothing has swelled, shrunk or moved from the time I polished it. It is a very stable material.
