I can't speak for #2, but I made #1 (or one very similiar) a couple of times a while back and really liked it. It seemed to be a nice size, weight, and design. My only complaint is that I think they took the file work a bit too far back. You really have to slant the forward end of scales to avoid the filework or cover some up. Covering some up is no big deal if you fill with epoxy - if you leave it open it tends to fill with junk and is hard to clean. That's my 2 cents.

Hmmm..... same style... well if I ruled the world I would call #1 a tactical camper and #2 a tactical fighter. I can't really think of anything else that fits that style off the top of my head, but after seeing the work you posted recently on the set of knives I have a suggestion - why not a hidden tang? Check this out:

Just a thought. -dr __________________ www.ruhligknives.com "The choice isn't between success and failure; it's between choosing risk and striving for greatness, or risking nothing and being certain of mediocrity." - Keith Ferrazi |

Cheaper way to go would be to cut out your own if you have some basic tools. You can get a lot of pointers from folks around here if you decide to head down that road.
