Never thought of using a Q-tip for anodizing, will give it a try.

Brett,, I think I'm missing something here... The personalizer has the carbon block on one wire, are you replacing it with an alligator clip? How is the current passing through the Q-tip? Sorry, but I gotta run this "rabbit" down! thanks Jon

The electrolyte is the conductor. On my anodizer I reverse the polarity by putting the head of a Q-tip in the negative clip, and attach the pos to the anode.

Jon,
On my Personalizer the carbon block has a female receptacle and the lead conning off the Personalizer has the male end. Instead of plugging-in the carbon block I attache the lead from the Personalizer to an wire with a alligator clip. After putting a Q-tip in the alligator clip I dip it in the electrolyte and squeeze of any extra fluid leaving the Q-tip damp but not dripping wet. Remember, the alligator clip has to be touching the wet cotton to conduct. Brett |
