That's a *BAD* looking knife!
Nice job. I am liking the bead blast finish more and more these days. The handle material really stands out too. May I ask where you pick up your handle material? I am always looking for quality and distinctive materials. Sure would appreciate a couple more pics of the knife! Spine, any photos of the handles showing the texture you created would be most excellent! Thanks! |

Thanks Frank! Your work looks great too!
Pierre - I like a bead blast finish on some knives. It's easy to apply, and I can refinish a used knife quickly. I buy most of my handle material from http://www.masecraftsupply.com/ The G10 I used is comprised of alternating layers of black and green. When you begin shaping it, the different layers start to pop out. It looks like a regular piece of black G10 before the shaping process begins. I'll post some more pictures of the handle tomorrow. I have to take the pictures in the day light because I don't have a light box. __________________ Johnathan Mitchell |

Hoooora! Great work on that knife. I especially like the pattern you achieved on the handle. Was that achieved by cutting in shallow finger groves into the flats?

It almost looks like a "stippling" effect on the flat scale surfaces . Is that right or just optical illusion?
Needless to say, I kinda like that design.....good job dude! __________________ Dennis "..good judgement comes from experience, experience comes from poor judgement.." -Gary McMahan, a cowboy poet and good dancer. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/p...24112090995576 |

Great looking blade, I also like the effects of the finger grides on the handle scales.
If you don't mind me asking, What design of the pack? LeeRoy |

The stippling effect is just the texture the piece of G10 had on it when I received it. __________________ Johnathan Mitchell |
