Unable to find a single reference to this knife anywhere. Ideas?
Searched the internet for hours and couldn't find a single thing on this knife. Sure would appreciate any ideas. Not sure if I'll be able to post pics since I am new, so I'll describe... Fixed blade hunting knife. Overall 10". Old. Hollow area in handle perhaps for storing sharpening stone? Blade inscription "Atom Wheel" and "Ser. no. 103". Handle is antler I believe.
Wish I could post a picture. |

Thanks for the reply. The one single reference I found on the entire internet is the same one you mention. But does anyone know anything about this knife?

Curious about a knife whose manufacturer would go through the effort to issue an individual serial number and write on the blade of a knife nobody has ever heard of.
Wondering if this knife is collectable/holds any value, or is it just an unknown oddity. Finally, would like to know the meaning of the unusual manufacturer writing on the blade - "Atom Wheel Tiger". Thanks, |

It's not a serial number, but rather a series number or model number. The fact that there's not much info would tend to indicate that it's not an expensive or collectable knife. There appears to be some link to Atom Wheel as a manufacturer of skate wheels, so this may have been another part of that company's lineup that just didn't do all that well. The knife may have been re-worked at some point - it's hard to believe it was sold with that miserable solder job on the guard.
We had a member that was awesome at tracking down these obscure blades, but he unfortunately passed away much too young. __________________ God bless Texas! Now let's secede!! |
