Stag Handle Fit & Finish
Hey Guys,
This is my first Stag Handle, I cut both scales from a matching pair of antler so the handle naturally contours the hand like how we shape other materials. I'm wondering what to do with the Corby bolts and thong tube around the natural ridges in the Stag? I don't want to muck up the natural curves and texture. The plan was to grind down to the top of the ridges and buff off the edges, but I'm wondering if that's standard practice in order to have the best fit & finish? Or does one Dremel the fittings to match the ridges? http://www.knifenetwork.com/forum/pi...pictureid=2547 http://www.knifenetwork.com/forum/pi...pictureid=2545 Input appreciated! Thanks Steve |
