Well, at least three of us will be there! I'll try to shoot a photo or two before we take off and get
Dogman to post them. __________________ http://www.srjknives.com NRA Endowment Member Knifemakers' Guild Member since 1971 "May you live all the days of your life." - Jonathan Swift |

Here's what we took to the Blade Show last weekend. Forgive the quality of the photo, please. It was taken at 0400 in the shop with available light coming from the fluorescent tubes on the ceiling, best I could do:
5" Loveless-style Utility, SS, Stag, ATS-34 3" Short Hunter, SS, Ivory, ATS-34 5 1/2" Loveless Boot blade, Johnson handle, SS, Blackwood, ATS-34 "Experimental" RWL-style Drop, burgundy Micarta? guard, Chinese Quince, T416 SS small pins and brown canvas Micarta? large pins, D-2 Slim Stiff Horn, Mokume guard/pins, bone, RWL-34 Calendar Knife, SS, Desert Ironwood (This knife, first made for Harry Archer and Ken Warner in the '70's, I believe, and ended up on a calendar and thus the name. Different offset grind on both sides, ATS-34 Left: Cottontail, SS, black linen Micarta?, BG-42 Right: Duck's Unlimited Model, 3 1/2" blade, tapered tang, high polish, brown canvas Micarta?, ATS-34 (Proceeds from this little knife went to the local Boy Scout Camp construction fund. Thanks Jack! __________________ http://www.srjknives.com NRA Endowment Member Knifemakers' Guild Member since 1971 "May you live all the days of your life." - Jonathan Swift Last edited by Steve; 06-07-2005 at 11:19 PM. What a great show. If you love knives of all kinds, that was amazing! Great to meet some folks that I'd only known on the net.
Got to spend a few minutes talking with Tom Mayo and saw his latest folder, saw some great knives, did you see that giant set of black-lip MOP that Culpeppers had? Wow! The Guild signed up a bunch of New Applicants and also a lot of new Honorary Members. The USN support is great, Dan is sending me at least 6 new applications for Honorary Membership, all signed by a Voting Member! __________________ http://www.srjknives.com NRA Endowment Member Knifemakers' Guild Member since 1971 "May you live all the days of your life." - Jonathan Swift Last edited by Steve; 06-08-2005 at 11:07 AM. |

Great show Steve. I was happy to meet you. I had my eye on the boot knife, unfortunately I wasn't picked in the lotto.
I hope to have better luck at the guild show. Can't wait to see what you bring there. Dan |

Great to meet you Dan. Can't wait for the Guild Show. It'll be super, I'm sure. The Gala is a wonderful evening, there will be some awesome "First time shown" knives there that night, along with some of the greatest folks you'd ever want to meet, or see again, as the case may be.
Better get to work, huh? Thanks for coming by the table in Atlanta. I hope the drawing was a good way to go about it. __________________ http://www.srjknives.com NRA Endowment Member Knifemakers' Guild Member since 1971 "May you live all the days of your life." - Jonathan Swift |
