Question stabilized wood blanks

Just was woundering what size knife handel blanks you begin with when building a knife? I realize its kinda a open ended question since everyone makes diffrant sizes, what i was thinking is that I would stabilize a few blanks and send them out for free to three diffrant knife makers on here to see what they think about the stabilizing resin product im using, all blanks will be stabilized under 28.5" of vacume and heat cured. what do you guys think of this idea?

Jon

Eli you are looking for blanks 4" long 1"1/4 thick and 1"1/2 wide is this correct? I have some stabilized boxelder burl dyed yellow, and some stabilized flame boxelder and some stabilized spalted wormy red elm! red elm is some crazy looking stuff!

I would definitely like a piece. i would like to compare the wood you stabilize with your resin to a piece that i stabilize with your resin. Most of the blanks i stabilize are 4.5"x 1.25"x 1.5"
