Half Spear

Shared this with a couple of you guys, but finally got off dead center and opened a PB account.
Point - 4" damascus (maker unknown from customer) OAL is 3 1/2 feet (1/2 scale, customer request)
Guard - antler
Shaft - curly hickory (tri-color staining), with incise carving, copper tacks, and rawhide lashings.
Stringers - Sinew, red wool, copper/bone/horn beads, copper cones with horsehair roaches.

This one balanced out very nicely and scared the heck out the trees out back while I was hunting a place to take pic. Hard temptation not to chunk it once or twice, but had already finished and waxed. Now if a squirrel (or squirrel-like critter) had showed.....all bets would have been off.

SHould be shipping it out to NC on Saturday. Customer wanted it too much to keep another week or I would bring it to the meeting.

Long as I got this figgured out......here's another project I completed.

Smelled french fries while shaping the handle on this one.
The handle material is salvaged countertop from the old Jr. Varsity that used to sit across the street from the Iron Gate and Double Cannon at UGA. Special thanks to Lil' Brother (John Costa) for the material.
Recurve blade is forged O-1, nicklesilver pins.
This one is still looking for a Dawg House.

Running back and forth between GA and Los Angeles for a long time, then just had to get caught up. There's a chance I might have to fly back out to L.A. to do some more filming, but I think the schedule is going to work out.

In case anyone was wondering what has had me away, it was this...
