safety reminder
Hey folks. Wanted to remind everyone to be aware of what you're working with. Some of the materials we use can make you dead. Most of the knife supply companies are very diligent about printing warnings when materials are harmful. However, what is harmful to some may not affect others and vice-versa. For instance, I have a terrible reaction to rosewoods and some of the other exotic hardwoods. Rosewood nearly killed me.
I don't want to scare anyone, well, yes I do. Be aware of what you are working with, a dead knifemaker is of no use to anyone. Any other hazardous stuff we should be aware of? Be well everyone. |

oh yeah:
dust from wood, steel & horn; fumes from zinc, epoxy & CA; propane explosions; buffers, grinders, sanders that throw things at you; drill presses that grab things and spin them through your hand; lots of fun stuff to watch out for seriously, though, welcome to the most educational knife forum in town __________________ wayne things get better with age ... i'm approaching magnificent |
