Welcome to the forums Gary! We're glad to have you on board. When you get ready to ask any questions, just fire away. You're not going to meet a friendlier bunch anywhere on the internet.

Welcome aboard Gary. You have found the best site going for anything to do with custom knives. The folks here are super helpful and knowledgable and you won't hear an unkind word.
Don't think twice about your age by the way - some of the best makers have a few years on you and others are still in their teens. An intense interest in custom knives is the "tie that binds" around here.
Best,
John

Welcome Gary

Nice to meet you Gary. Don't worry about the age. I am the mother of all newbies myself at 54. Just build my first forge and am into bladsmithing and stock removal. I may not have many answers but the guys in this forum do and are glad to share what they know with all. Enjoy the forum.
By the way perhaps one is too old to cut the mustard but that dosent mean you cant build a knife that will cut mustard.
