Go Figure...
I actually get online to do some work and there I find my obsession in another form . This is awesome that Hogs and Rats are being discussed together. Hope you don't mind if I come join you. Did a bit of reading and I agree, it would be nice to have serious answers before the 12th post
So who is getting a FSH and who is getting a Rat daddy? Got my FSH and it is sick... Fondled the Rat daddy at blade show and man, I gotta get me one of them |

As you know KAAK, I snagged a FSH prot and a Rat Daddy and they are both a heck of a lot of blade. It will be nice to get my HOGFSH and compare it to the proto though. The Rat Daddy is a monster of a blade! I got satin and I didn't manage to wipe it down as well as i had thought. When I got home there were some spots on it where it had corroded a little. No worries though, I got some 0000 steel wool and a little rust eater and buffed it off. The dark patina spots are still there, but no pits. I think this thing would look wicked as hell all browned up like old high carbon butcher knives get.

Hey KAAK! Welcome to the "integrated" discussion. were growing slowly but surely. I havent seen my FSH yet, guess they're coming out in batches eh? I cant wait to get my hands on a Rat Daddy, now that is a BIG chunk o steel!
Gunner, that is an interesting idea for the RD! I am working on the patina on my CT and its coming along slowly, but that is the whole idea. The slower the process the better the look, my pocket knife has carbon steel blades (Schrade stockman) and its got a very nice patina now. Gotta love that carbon steel __________________ www.armoralleather.com Leather knife sheaths and more. Specializing in exotic inlay and freehand carving. |

Yep, this is the ONLY place on the web that you can feel free to discuss both Busses and Rats without someone jumping up with some snarly comment So enjoy -- we sure like having you here Mike P.S. I've seen pics of the R-Daddy, sure would like to get one in hand __________________ Trying to become the kind of man my dog thinks I am http://www.fototime.com/ftweb/bin/ft...E4E363B}&tio=0 |
