I've seen things in the thonghole of some knives that appears to be a single strip of leather with slots where each end is passed through. I played with doing this a few times but can never get it to look just right. What I'm wondering is, if there's a standard formula.? Thanks. Steve www.stevescutlery.com |

Steve, I have a paperback book called "Leather Braiding" (author is Grant) that I bought at Tandy Leather several years ago. It is worth owning if you are doing anything at all with leather. It describes this basic technique, with illustrations. |

Thanks Don; I have a few books on lacing, even one from Tandy but none seem to show this particular technique. Unless someone can give me a quick summary, I see a Tandy order in my near future. Thanks again. Steve www.stevescutlery.com |
