I came up before cnc punch presses and was a draftsman, but worked in the shop as needed, learned to weld as well, but favorite welding process was always tig. I sometimes go and teach advanced fitting and welding techniques at the college down the hill from me and they let me use their blacksmith shop when they have classes. Made a nice billet of Damascus, but the ladder pattern got away from me and became random.LOL
