Frank asks ... what do you think?
If you've been here long, you've likely run into some of the excellent artistic presentations by our very own, Frank Mongelli. As you can see this time, Frank decided to use Ironwood in this design. Some of you may already know, but Frank started into this business as a Master Carpenter looking for a hobby. He has, up until now, only worked with metals, as he told me ... "I work in wood all day, so it gets kind of boring. I wanted to try metals because they are a new challenge for me." I kept asking him to do something in wood to let us see it, and he finally agreed ... this is the result. I personally think it's shows spectactular skill in matching his emerging style, incorporating wood both tastefully and with elegance. Not bad for a first attempt ...
If you like it, let him know ... Alex __________________ Alex Whetsell [======]~~~~~~~> Atlantavirtual.com Atlanta NOC |

The curves that Frank puts into his pieces are always eye catching!
This piece is as dazzling as all of his others. __________________ Dean McKay NT Yard'n Ape McKay With a Strong Hand |

Flawless. Like the others, I'd love to have one like this for myself. Very nicely done.

I agree with Darrel. Can't wait to see what you ( and several others) do to the DDR3's. Gorgeous!

As usual--it's fantastic! Now Frank--do you REALLY have to have Alex do the talking for you? I got questions...
Give us a rundown on your clip grooving procedure? What sort of power sanders or hand tools are you using? I see brass behind the ironwood. Is this a milled one-piece scale to accept the wood, or is there another layer of brass in there? Come out and take the praise yourself my friend! In the process, you could teach us a thing or two...! Thanks for the great show.
