That's remarkably cool! Are the carved out areas of the handle colored in anyway? Or can you just naturally see the timascusness of the titanium that clearly?

Nybble,
The face and back of the handle are polished and anodized the same along with the front, top and rear of the handle. The bottom, inside and profile chamfer have a contrasting blasted finish and have been anodized a deeper blue/purple color. When looking at the bottom or top of the handle, you see the linear pattern running the length of the handle, including the inside and slot bottom. Scott |

Wonderful looking knife, Scott!
The tight pattern of the blade looks terrific with the open pattern of timascus, and I really like the pivot pin heads. Do you know the pattern name for the timascus used - its more open than previous bars I have used. The heat coloring looks extremely even - did you use an oven? What temperature for these colors? I'll be looking forward to seeing it in person next week. |
