new maker- second knife
check out the second knife jason made- 1084 with a buffalo horn handle, red spacers, and mosaic pins. it's 12 1/2 " long, 4" handle. we tried and got a double temper line. think i'm as proud as he is seeing how this is the first time i tried to teach someone. he designed my web site, and came up for 3 days of hammering. we got 2 knives completed, and 3 more waiting for handles. he did all the forging, grinding, h.t.ing, and finishing on this one. paul

i think the teacher is over rated- it was the student that arrived with the ability- but glad to read he went away feeling he learned something. the picture i posted didn't really show how nice the knife turned out. think everyone will be seeing more of his nice work in the future. paul
