We'll do Pam. You have a great opening and break a frame(?)!
I "plan" to spend a little more time using my camera instead of a hammer and interact with the visitors a bit more.
The rest of the guys can show off a little, while I explain what, why, and how.

You guys remember to bring some of your latest work. I'm thinking of setting up the big table as a mutual display table so visitors' can see what you're doing or working toward.

Also bring your current projects, stuff you've run into problems on and want help, and any knife making supply extras you might want to trade.

All you guys that are coming, please tell me one more time so that I can give my wife a decent head count for the saturday lunch.
I need to know how many you're bringing with you, also.

Thank you for your cooperation one and all and see you next weekend.

Mark & Deb - got a special piece of steel to heat up for just you guys.

Look Out Sandy! Here We Come!

I missread you post. If you have a good junkyard close by just go get a hunk of steel. Railroad track works okay. Anything will work for a starter.

Blgoode,
Glad you made it down and we got to meet. Really sorry I couldn't spend more time talking with you but that 8 year old had me on the ropes! We got her HT'd and finished up for a final sharpening when he gets home. He lives in Severville, TN by the way. Quite a determined young fella.
You'll have to convince your soon to be new bride that you know an excellent place for a romantic follow-up honeymoon and come on down for the fall HI (tba). Congradulations, by the way, I hope you'll be as happy as me and my bride of 31 years.
Take care.
