work shop toos
Hi All. I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. Been busy getting my shop(patio) tools built. Been very lucky. Got my railroad rail anvil built, knife vise, vacum stabilizer, etcher built. My propane forge is in progress. Looks like I will get buy under $200(wife is happy too). I have gleaning(stealing) ideas from this forum. You tube and instructables. Saved a bunch by doing it my self. Having as much fun as making the knives. Yoall take care.

You sound like me only I take waaaaayyyy longer to jump in. I've been gradually picking up supplies and making my own gear as much as I can. Like you, I enjoyed building my own stuff just as much as making knives. Well done.
An etching machine will be up soon after a few more sheath supplies. I should be able to put one together for about what you paid at my local electronics supply house. Looking forward to seeing your knives. |
