Online source for powdered steel anyone?
Hi, Would anyone be aware of an online source of powdered steel? I'm thinking about something I could use for mosaic damascus, like 1084. Thanks, JD |

I purchase all my powders locally from Swain Spring here in Great Falls. I did start a search, but don't have time to finish it. I found this site with many steel suppliers, you might give it a shot... metals.about.com/cs/suppl...ndex_8.htm Seems to be a lot of elemental powders available, but I've not found the ones we are looking for............yet! Somebody is bound to come up with something! |

So I've post that same question everywhere I could, and I got the same answer from a bunch of independant bladesmiths, at least 6 of them in addition to you. Talk about an endorsement! JD |
