That's some nice cocobolo man I have two different pieces of cocobolo. It's funny how different each piece looks.

There is a local (within a 20 min drive) wood working store that carries quite a lot of exotic species. I think i paid around $15 for it, i should be able to get at least 10 more sets of handles out of it.

Yeah I love, and hate that about the highly figured woods. love it because you can never have 2 of the same looking wood and hate it because I keep collecting slightly different variations of the same species.
I have multiple different handles of every exotic species i have ever heard of, and sadly that's not an exaggeration.... i think i am a knife handle aholic... i wonder if there is a support group

Seriously??? Wow did I get ripped off.... The stuff I got I swear was straight off the boat it is so wet it's not funny. I sprayed it all with clear to slow down the drying but it's splitting bad.

Thanks for the compliment Travis.

Julius- Maybe the price difference has something to do with currency exchange rates, difficulty getting the wood to that area, or ya got hosed.

I will have to come up with a reason to make the trip over there soon and let a few of you know so i can try and send some your way

Knives look good. The sharpfinger is pretty cool, very nice scales. You're right about that board, it's a beauty.
