I use a chain saw file and a small triangular file with one safe edge.

Same here. Various triangle files and various diameters of chainsaw files.

Honestly. I use lots of different files. I have a kit with tiny hobby files for real small areas and have bought numerous round files, half rounds, squares etc. The best thing you can do when filing tho and I meant to put this in all caps... BUY A FILE BRUSH AND CLEAN YOUR FILES VERY VERY OFTEN!!! You should be cleaning them every few pushes especially when draw filing. The last thing you want to do is get a metal shaving in there and rub it in your work making a scratch that is very deep and a pain to sand/polish out.
This is my file setup I use. |

Duane Dushane recommends the 6 1/4" swiss pattern files...
