Drac, I believe you have to do that in your photo editing software. Like Epson, Arcsoft, MS Picture it Publishing, etc.
There is a feature in the program that allows you to choose pixel size. __________________ Mike |

Taking some getting used to but overall big improvement.
I've got the same problem as Bob: using Netscape and typing in a window half the width it could be. Converts to full width, laying out the page differently than intended, when finished posting reply. Also, when finished with a new post/reply it takes quite a while to be recognized as the latest post in that thread. Any way to ever bring over all the lost threads in the old forum (from 6/13). There were a couple of threads that never really got a chance to have a reasonable conclusion as they were cut off in the transition. I know it's been asked before, any thought to having your own photo hosting which would insure permanent compatability with these forums? All-in-all...great job! Dennis Yeah Baby! |

Hey Dennis, Netscape handles nested tables slightly differently from Explorer. There is a load of debate as to which is the "true" intrpretation, but most seem to argue that Explorer confirms to the rules of html a little closer than Netscape. Whichever, the vBulletin developers chose to code the forums with Explorer in mind and place compensatory mechanisms for netscape users. The result is an accurate rendering of the tables for Explorer users and often some slightly strange renderings for Netscape users.
There is no workaround, other than to ditch Netscape and use Explorer. Quote:
Photopost: At $130, it's an expensive licence, but it integrates seamlessly with vBulletin and is considered the "pick" of the photo gallery software. Regards, Martyn. Last edited by Martyn; 06-17-2002 at 03:51 PM. |

Yes, much better. I too would like mark forum read to take you up a directory or better yet to the main directory list, not back to the same directory. More when I use it some more.

Word Search Length
Alex,
The search is great but......... can the word length be shortened to 3. Several searches that I have tried need 3 letters. IE - 416 440 Bos Ya see what I mean. Also, on Mark forum read, my work computer take me back to the main index but my computer at home return to the forum that was marked as read? Any clue? I love this place! Bob,
We're still trying to troubleshoot the mark forums issue. The problem is, it works on all of our systems, so isolating the problem is basically a guessing game at this point. The search term length has been adjusted. Alex __________________ Alex Whetsell [======]~~~~~~~> Atlantavirtual.com Atlanta NOC |

Tip:
There's a sneaky way round the character limit in the search engine. Well actually not that sneaky 'cos it gives you a clue on the search page. Just use an * next to your 3 letter search to trigger the search using wildcards to make up the fourth letter. I was looking for info on D2 steel, so I just tageed it either side with wild cards like *D2* and got tons of appropriate hits. Of course now Ales has droipped the limit, I would only need to use D2* to get the results. Last edited by Martyn; 06-18-2002 at 10:32 AM. |

Search
Alex,
Kinda strange. A search for 416 works fine but a search for Bos returns no match found. ? ? ? Bob Sigmon |

I just tried a search for "Bos" and this thread was found.
I am sure that the name is mentioned in a post currently running in the folding knife forum about heat treating 416 stainless. There may be a parameter somewhere that needs to be changed. The joy of getting NEW STUFF is getting all the bugs worked out, right? |

Mike,
Thanks for asking, but ..... No, actually I was just testing the search feature and there were heat treat questions in another thread. Bos was just a test subject. Alex, On a couple of occasions when I have clicked "mark forum read", I have been logged off or dumped out whatever. Just thought I'd let you know. Bob Sigmon |
