While visiting Buenos Aires Argentina..
My wife and I recently returned from 2 months in Colombia and Argentina. The main reason for the trip was to be in Buenos Aires for the birth of my wife's first grandchild, Olga Lucia Martinez-Campuzano born on 1/4/15.
I've always managed to find one or two "good" custom knives in Argentina; sadly my friend and knife maker, Ruben Calo of Buenos Aires died from lung cancer last year. Here is one of the nicest knives I pulled out of Argentina is this A. G. Andersen Damascus and Warthog Tusk Knife. It is marked AG Andersen, Del Monte (in the north of Argentina) and Hecho a mano - for handmade. Here it is: I am sending an e-mail to AG Andersen to see if he can give me some specifics on the knife. The blade is approximately 5-1/2" long. |
