Silverwire inlaid Bowie

I finished this knife for a collector a few years ago. He had no complaints despite being fairly green at the wire inlaying, that alone took me two weeks to complete. I like the way 17th century firearms of Russia and Germany were decorated and am still working on those styles. Wes

Wow, fantastic work! If you call that green at wire inlay I can't imagine what you are doing today!

With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down !
If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner!

Thanks for the compliments. When I'd finished this piece I was disappointed in the fact that I could tell how much more skilled I'd gotten towards the end compared to the begining of the wire job. Will post another smaller piece soon. Wes
