Keith style holster, no knives in this post
Since Barry pointed out the NCCKG forum has tumbleweeds in it from time to time here is all I have right now that you guys didn't see at the Guild meeting..... He is right, I know I am guilty of not posting much here.
I made this little holster with a definite tip of the cowboy hat to Elmer Keith; he is one of my favorite gun writers. Its a rough copy of the Keith/Lawrence #120 that he used a lot. Didn't really have a pattern (just pictures) so I kind of made it up as I went. The rawhide lacing didn't come out as clean as I had hoped and I always seem to find things I will do different next time. This was made to fit a 4-3/4" SAA as a precursor to making one for another very special revolver. Robb |
