delaware drop point blank

Looking for some help finding a blank I have been buying from Jantz. It's called a delaware drop point blade. They have discontinued and had no explanation or help as to a substitute or another supplier. It is basically a copy of Loveless design with the tapered tang and was available with a blade guard. I've built some 250 knives and do my own custom leather sheaths and like this particular blank better than all others. Looks and practical use. I would love to find another supplier or another very similar. Just my luck; happens all the time I find something I really like.

Good luck. that is a loveless style. I have been trying to get some made too. I have not been able to locate that blade. There is one similar to it at Alabama Damascus. They make it in 1075 as well. finishes like this.

The white bone is the only one of the 3 that was not modified a little. They are one of my popular sale itmes. Hope this helps.

Try Premium knife Supply in Hayesville, North Carolina

They have several Loveless style drop points with attached welded bolsters, but none with a tapered tang unfortunately. They're made from the Chinesium 9cr14MoV 440C equivalent and according to the owner they order their's separately and are of high quality and HRc58+ hardness. I bought a couple of knives from them with an unusual shape and design and they were as advertised. Indeed they were not scratched by my HRc58.1 hard scratcher. All were scratched by my 60 scratcher. When I worked as a heat treater I made up some hardness checking scratchers. I should have made a 59 scratcher, but figured 58 to 60 was good enough, not knowing at the time the Rockwell C scale is exponential. 59 is almost 10x harder than 58. So check them out and see if they have something like you are looking for. They have always backed up their knives if something is wrong with them by the way. Here's just one drop point, one of their biggest.

PS. They have sales.
