first knife
Ok so here is the first one I have done any real work on. It is a knife kit from woodcraft so I did not forge the blade or screws. I did give everything my own little touch though. The screws were completely blacked out and there were only some grooves on the spine. The first picture is what the blank looks like out of box (thanks woodcraft). The scales are Bolivian Rosewood, scales came from my wood stash. I believe the blade is AUS-6. I think I have already learned quite a bit from filing on this one. Thanks for everyone who takes a look.

darkpilatus.... That came out really nice. Clean work. I haven't attempted any file work yet, got to try that some day. Thanks for sharing, I look forward to seeing your next one....Mike

Ooohhh, NIZE! Those little star screw thingies just set it off. Does Woodcraft sell them?
I'm getting the urge to try something with a boughten blank, and some of my ideas for mods. Your project has increased the "need". I gotta check out Woodcraft next time I am in their neighborhood. Now if I can only learn to post pixes. Last edited by humminboid; 09-10-2008 at 09:14 AM. Reason: adds |
