Stag Hunter
5160 Stag Hunter forged according to techniques I learned at Willow Bow.
Premium Sambar Stag handle. Nickel Silver fittings. Sheath unfinished. This knife now owned by the Co-publisher of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. (He bought it for his wife!) Last edited by Karl B. Andersen; 04-25-2006 at 01:58 PM. |

Very nice knife! I have to ask about the sheath though--is it unfinished, or glued only? I can't see any stitching in the photo. . .

Unfinished sheath
That sheath is just the wet-molded shell!
I threw it in just for the heck of it! It will look a lot like this one. Last edited by Karl B. Andersen; 04-25-2006 at 01:58 PM. |

Very nice! I particularly like the way you executed that butt cap.

Sheath done!
Had to put this in so ya'll could see the sheath!
I don't get all caught up in flashy sheath work. I build a good tough sheath that is meant to last as long as the knife! Last edited by Karl B. Andersen; 04-25-2006 at 01:58 PM. |
