welcome mat
would it be a good idea (or not?) to put up a separate sign-in sticky/forum/??? for new signups to make themselves known and receive welcome? . i am thinking that a "welcome mat" would be a good place for newbies to go for pointers to the the faq button, the search button, the front page - knives-for-sale, etc. i still forget some of these things myself . thanx __________________ wayne things get better with age ... i'm approaching magnificent |

I like the idea. If it was a post alone, it would soon become the longest post in the world. Not a bad thing for those who know to start at the end first. But we're talking newbies. The length would confuse some.
A stand-alone forum would raise my hand. Coop |

That idea has some merit, though!

so alex, what has to happen to make this reality? i shouldn't want you to elect me to be the welcomemat because i work 10a-7p. yeah, i know it sucks - and then i get to go home and try my ####dest to grind some knives! oh - then i get to try making a presence on the net. i would, however, be willing to work with anyone that wants to step up to this. pls let me know - whv 0] __________________ wayne things get better with age ... i'm approaching magnificent |
