Source for heat treating salt materials
Hey Everyone
I'm thinking about switching over to salt tanks for heat treating. I have some recipes for the salts from the Bladesmith's Forum i would use. I have no idea where to look for some of this stuff- where would I go to find Sodium Nitrite, Potassium Nitrate, and Potassium Chloride? I think I can find Sodium Chloride. For that matter, is making my own salts more trouble than it's worth? If so, where is a good place to find high & low temp salts? Thanks Dave Armour |

Not sure where you are located but Cal Ganshorn has some salt for sale as well. He is in Regina Saskatchewan.
