Update on Mom

She called yesterday evening and told me they had decided the only way to get rid of the cancer was to remove her eye. She's very releived and so am I. It's a drastic procedure with lots of possible complications like brain necrosis whatever that is. So, she'll be gone for a while. I don't expect her back home until around the 20th of August. They have to wait until the aspirin levels in her blood get into a safer range. She's been taking BC powder two or three times a day for the pain. Who would have thought about that? The earliest they can do the procedure will be on this coming Thursday and then she'll be in the hostpial for at least a week for observation and prosthetics fitting.

Thanks again for all of your prayers. Mom is taking the news well. And she's uplifted by prayers from folks she doesn't even know. You guys. Thanks, from the bottom of my heart.

Your Mother sounds like a very strong lady, Max. I've been keeping up with your posts for a while, and I'm glad to see you folks get a little relief.

I'm glad you have your faith. It can help immensely at times like these. You've also got knives, and knife people. Don't hesitate to ask for any help.

Good luck to you, Max, and to your Mom. You both are in our hearts and minds.

Richard.

Glad to hear the doctor's made a decision about your mom, some doctors would go guinea pig, and some would sit there with their thumb in their bum. But it seems like you got a good one, I hope everything works out great with her. And I will keep both of you in my prayers. (BTW I would have responded earlier but for the longest time I wasn't allowed to post. It sucked.)

While my wife and I were at a reknowned Ob/Gyn for a consultation, he had a certificate on the wall for the 'M.D. Anderson Cancer Center'. I asked about the center, and he said it is the BEST facility in the USA! Glad to hear...

Right now your mom and you need a happy booster. Tell her that I say she's lucky--cuz' after the fix, everything is going to look TWICE as nice out of one eye!!!! 8o

I still wish you the best. Be well!

Coop

(PS--Max, I sent you a PM. Check your mailbox in your 'User CP'.)
