Limited edition

Well, my first ready knife after Atlanta, and this time it?s a little different. I will limit this model to between about 10-20 for now, and I hope to reach under $300/each with a Scandinavian sheath and mammoth scales. I hope at least it will work (have not calculated on it yet). This is my first try to make a small series of knives.

So what about this knife? It?s the first try on this model. It?s made out of Uddeholm 20C carbon steel. The scales are mammoth bark. I got a lot of this thin mammoth and when I do not make folders it have only been lying in a box. But now I can pick it up and start grinding scales.

This one will be a gift for a friend who is getting married next week. Why a knife then? Well I guess:

Marriage is like a knife
With proper care it will never rust or loose the edge
And in return it will always be there for you

PS. I have updated my page with a new description of myselfe, so if you want to read my storry I can recommend it <- Thats an ugly smiley

I really like that knife! I saved a pic of that one for future inspiration. You should have no problem selling 30!

Andre'-

This is such a departure from your usual work...and yet it still retains some of "The Look"...of which we've all come to know and love. This "entry-level" version is sort of Andre' 101...(hope you'll understand the reference...It was meant as a compliment. "101" is a typical designation for entry-level USA college courses).

Simple as it may be, even the profile has some of your well-known drama!

Overall, great-looking user...You should sell those 10-20 knives in no time at all.

Yeah Baby!

PS. When are we gonna start seeing photos of your dad's wonderful knives posted here in the Display Case? 8o

What Dennis said...

I have to agree with Dennis wholeheartedly, your Dad needs to start posting to this board too.

I had the very great pleasure of meeting Andre and Michael at this past Blade show. I got to handle a lot of their knives and I have to say that inasmuch as their knives are amazing on screen, they are even more amazing in person. I can't wait to see the blade that Micke is forging for me!

What continues to amaze me is not just the execution but the thought that goes into design and then seeing how the materials in their raw state will then fit into the final product.

Great looking knife Andre

Brian (from CANADA!)

I really like this knife, but then again, I like every knife of yours that I have ever seen.
