Very nice work Art! I haven't done to many knives with bolsters, but I have a couple more coming up. I know you've done a bunch! How many pins would you use on bolsters this size? 4? I taper the holes ..... any other tips or advice you could share? Thanks, Mark

.......also, it looks like you've done a forward bevel on them, do you have another pic from the top that would show that better?

I only have two 1/8" pins in the bolsters , You say you ream the holes then two is enough . I use a ball pein hammer and beat the heck out of them . I use 1/4" bolsters so I can grind out the pein marks .

I round the front . I have the holes drilled in both sides of the bolsters and a 1/8" rod rivets thru both of them and clamp them together with vice grips and scribe a line about .100 down from the top on each side and just grind them round . and look at them often to see that each side is the same . All eye ball ..
I don't have a top view of it , I'm putting bolsters on a knife tomorrow I'll take pictures . but this is all I have right now .

Question of the month. Where is that Bowie blade you had at the last meeting? You are incapable of making an ugly knife.
