Just think about it......post a pic here and several thousand folks see it. That is reputation building (or demize, depending on what one posts).
A lot of beginners build their base on gifts/sales to friends and relatives. While most of these folks would not say anything derogatory about their work, they will show it off or use it in front of others that may not be so closely connected.
