Exciting new product from KnifeKits! (at least for me!)
Previously I have tried: http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/product_info.php?cPath=60_81_230&products_id=2004 but found that the spanner type tightening didn't work well.
Since, Knifekits have come up with these: http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/produc...oducts_id=4251 They take a #8 Torx driver and after trying them out this morning, I placed a large order with Knifekits! They are available in both SS and Black Oxide. The reason I like these screws so much is the large diameter heads....that are approx the same size as the OD of the caged bearings or washers that I use. Personally I think it distributes the the force when tightened much better then the smaller headed screws, and I've found they make all the difference in a folders "action" versus pivot screws with smaller heads.....provided I get everything else correct like the squareness and depth of my holes/counterbores. If you can't tell, I'm excited about these, and the prices are great! __________________ WWW.CAFFREYKNIVES.NET Caffreyknives@gmail.com "Every CHOICE has a CONSEQUENCE, and all your CONSEQUENCES are a result of your CHOICES." |
